| Game 4 Fulmer Q&A Tennessee vs. Georgia Oct. 6 Neyland Stadium ESPN (Noon/Eastern) Q - How did Kelley Washington, who as a freshman set a pass-receiving record for yardage (256) against LSU Saturday, first come to your attention? A - "We started recruiting Kelley about this time last year after learning he was interested in playing college football. Assistant coach Larry Slade did an excellent job with Kelley's coach. He and some of his family members came down and I think were impressed with our environment and the oppportunity that was presented to him. I'm glad he's here, and he's glad he's here. It has worked out well for both of us." Q - What concerns you most about Georgia as you approach time for Saturday's SEC game with the Bulldogs at Neyland Stadium? A - "I am concerned about our health. I hope some of our guys can get healthy and that somebody will step up for us. Georgia is balanced offensively, with weapons at receiver and running back as good as we've played against. On defense, they have an aggressive style with plenty of good players. The Georgia kicking game is a solid part of an overall very good team." Q - Tell about the Georgia offense Tennessee will encounter when the SEC rivals meet Saturday afternoon at Neyland Stadium A - "Georgia's offensive team is balanced. David Green does a good job throwing the ball and getting into the offense. They're into the no-huddle a lot, and we need to get our fans involved in helping disrupt that some. They have a very talented receivers corps." Q - What is the physical condition of the Vols after last week's bruising game with LSU? A - "We will have further evaluation as the week goes along, but it looks as though Jason Respert and Reggie Coleman in the offensive line might not play this week. The same goes for defensive end Will Overstreet. We expect them all back at some point, but how quickly remains to be seen." Q - What has allowed Casey Clausen to develop his quarterback skills to become a good manager of the Vols offense? A - "Casey is still a work in progress. He has the skills to be a good quarterback. The last couple of games he has really done well. At Fayetteville, against Arkansas, he really did a good job in the face of the bad weather we encountered and all the delays we had, Against LSU, after the first quarter, he did an incredible job of managing our offense." |
