Vols Win SEC East With 34-32 Decision at Florida
Following today's 34-32 win by Tennessee today...
- Tennessee wins the SEC Eastern Division title-the Vols' third in five years
- The Vols play the winner of tonight's Auburn-LSU game in Atlanta next week for the SEC title
- Tennessee has never lost when having a running back rush for 200 yards (17-0)
- Tennessee becomes the first SEC East team to defeat Florida at Gainesville since 1992
- Tonight's victory ended UF's 11-game home win streak dating back to 1999 ... Alabama was the last SEC team to win at UF (1999) ... The Gators are 39-3 vs. SEC teams at Gainesville since 1990

Tennessee head coach Phillip Fulmer is the nation's winningest active head coach...Following today's game, Fulmer has a 94-19 (.832) mark now in his 10th season at his alma mater ... Fulmer is now 3-7 against Florida and has a 38-9 mark against SEC Eastern Division foes ... He ranks No. 8 on the SEC's all-time victories list with 61 regular season league wins.
QB Casey Clausen completed 17-of-25 for 168 yards and 1 touchdown tonight ...Clausen moved into 5th place on UT's all-time career passing leaders list today, passing Heath Shuler (4088) ... Clausen, a sophomore, became just the fifth UT quarterback to pass for over 4000 career yards with his effort tonight ... He now has 4110 and 35 career touchdown passes ... Clausen has completed 79-of-119 (.663) for 1029 yards with 12 TDs and 3 interception the past four games.
Clausen is now 16-2 as a starter at quarterback for the Vols, including a 12-1 mark in SEC games ... He has a 11-1 mark as the Vols' QB when throwing for at least 200 yards (7-1 in 2001) ... Tonight's game was his first at Florida.
RB Travis Stephens rushed for a career-high 226 yards tonight and 2 touchdowns on 19 carries ... Stephens has now rushed for at least 100 yards seven times this season ... Stephens' 226 yards on the ground is the second-most ever allowed by Florida (Hershel Walker gained 238 vs UF in 1980) ... Florida's defense had not allowed an opponent running back to surpass the 100-yard mark this season (last: Rudy Johnson, Auburn, 2000) ... Stephens' two rushing TDs were his first since the Notre Dame game Nov. 3 ... His previous career-best was 206 yards this season at Arkansas.
Stephens moved to No. 2 on the Vols' single-season rushing list tonight, passing Chuck Webb (1236), Tony Thompson (1261), Johnnie Jones (1290), Travis Henry (1314) and Jamal Lewis (1364) ... Stephens has 1427 yards on the season and will enter next Saturday's SEC Championship game needing just 12 yards to break Jay Graham's record mark of 1438 set in 1995 ... On UT's career rushing charts, Stephens moved to No. 8 tonight, with 2299 yards ... He passed Charlie Garner (2089) on the all-time list tonight.
WR Bobby Graham pulled in a career-high 7 receptions for 71 yards to lead the Vols tonight ... Graham's previous career-best were 4 catches vs. Georgia (2001) and 57 yards vs. Memphis in 1999.
RB Jabari Davis scored his first two touchdowns of his career tonight in the fourth quarter, the second on giving the Vols a 34-26 advantage ... Davis became the Vols' fifth freshman to score a touchdown this season.
DB Jabari Greer intercepted his first pass of the season today in the first quarter ... Greer's pick came after a deflection by DT John Henderson at the line of scrimmage ... It ended a Gator drive at the UF 47and set up the Vols' second touchdown drive ... It was officially Greer's first career interception-he returned a pick 78 yards for a touchdown against Kansas State in the Cotton Bowl last season-but bowl game stats do not count in season or career numbers.
Tennessee's defense held Florida scoreless in the first quarter for the first time this season ... The Vols led 14-0 after one quarter ... In one stretch, the Vols deflected three of four pass attempts at the line of scrimmage-two by John Henderson and one by Albert Haynesworth.
