QB Casey Clausen completed 20-of-30 for 2285 yards and 4 touchdowns this afternoon ... Clausen moved into 7th place on UT's all-time career passing leaders list today ... Clausen, a sophomore, has passed for 3664 yards during his UT career ... He moved past Jimmy Streater (3433) today ... He also passed the 2000-yard mark for the season this afternoon ... He enters next Saturday's game with Vanderbilt with 2191 yards this season ... Clausen has completed 42-of-65 for 583 yards with 9 TDs and 1 interception the past two games.
Clausen is now 14-2 as a starter at quarterback for the Vols, including a 10-1 mark in SEC games ... He has a 9-1 mark as the Vols' QB when throwing for at least 200 yards (6-1 in 2001) ... Clausen has now led the Vols to six fourth quarter comebacks during his UT career, including four this season.
DT John Henderson moved to No. 6 on the Vols all-time quarterback sack chart ... WR Donte' Stallworth tied the UT single game record for touchdown receptions for the second straight week ... Stallworth caught three touchdowns to become the first UT player in history to record three touchdown receptions in back-to-back games ... Stallworth led the Vol receivers today with 8 catches for 169 yards and 3 touchdowns-all career-highs ... Stallworth scored the Vols first touchdown today on a 59-yard strike from Casey Clausen , then tied the game 28-28 in the fourth quarter on a 24-yard TD from Clausen and gave the Vols their first lead (35-28) on a 38-yarder with 5:26 remaining ... Last week against Memphis, Stallworth caught 7 passes for a then-career-high 142 yards ... Since returning from a wrist injury suffered in the season opener, Stallworth has caught 25 passes for 499 yards and 8 touchdowns the last five games.
DT Albert Haynesworth had another productive day from his tackle position today ... Haynesworth deflected a Lorenzen pass in the third quarter that led to Rashad Moore's interception/Constantin Ritzmann TD in the third quarter that tied the game at 21-21 .... Haynesworth also recorded a half-sack/tackle for loss (-6) today.
DE Constantin Ritzmann scored his first career touchdown this afternoon on a fumble recovery in the UK end zone following a Rashad Moore interception ... After a 29-yard return by Moore to the UK 11-yard line, Moore was stripped of the ball and Ritzmann pounced on it in the end zone after a scramble by both teams ... Ritzmann has now scored 10 points this season ... He recorded a safety in the season opener against Syracuse and caught a 2-point conversion pass last week against Memphis on a fumbled extra point.
DE Will Overstreet recovered a Kentucky fumble at the UT 31 with 2:08 remaining to end a UK scoring threat with the Vols hanging onto a 38-35 lead ... The fumble was caused by LB Eddie Moore ... It was Moore's second fumble caused this season ... Overstreet also recorded a half sack (-6), giving him 17 for his career.
Leonard Scott became the 15th player in SEC history to amass at least 1500 career kickoff return yards ... Scott recorded a season-long 48-yard return today in the second quarter ... He returned four kicks for 144 yards today ... Scott now has 1640 career kickoff return yards in his UT career ...
Alex Walls' 44-yard FG with 2:40 remaining gave the Vols their final margin of victory ... Walls' 44-yarder equals his season-long ... Walls kicked a 34-yarder with just 13 seconds remaining to beat Memphis 19-17 last season.
