Following today's 26-24 loss Tennessee leads the series against Georgia 17-12-2, including a 9-6-1 mark in Knoxville ... The Vols have won nine of the last 11 meetings dating back to 1989 ... Today's win by Georgia was the Bulldogs' first at Neyland Stadium since 1980 (16-15) ... Georgia defeated Tennessee 21-10 last season in Athens ... Attendance: 107,592-10th-largest in Neyland Stadium history ... Tennessee falls to 3-1 (2-1 SEC), while Georgia improves to 3-1 (2-1 SEC).
Tennessee head coach Phillip Fulmer is the nation's winningest active head coach...Following today's game, Fulmer has a 87-19 (.821) mark now in his 10th season at his alma mater, including a 51-5 mark at Neyland Stadium...Fulmer's overall SEC record is now 58-13, including a 34-9 mark against SEC East opponents.
In the second half, Tennessee's starting average field position was at the UT 14, while Georgia's average was at the UGA 41.
DT John Henderson recorded his 18th career quarterback sack in today's game ... Henderson's sack moved him to ninth-place on the Vols all-time list with 18 ... Henderson's sack of UGA's David Greene was for a loss of five yards ... It was Henderson's second sack of the season after leading the SEC with 12 last season ... He missed much of the season-opener vs. Syracuse with an ankle injury and all of the win at Arkansas.
Senior tailback Travis Stephens gained 176 yards on 30 carries today ... Today's effort was the third time in four games this season that Stephens has surpassed the 100-yard barrier and the fourth time in his career ... Stephens entered today's game as the SEC's leading rusher (6th in NCAA), averaging 137.3 yards per game ... Stephens rushed for a career-high 206 yards at Arkansas ... Stephens also caught three passes for 78 yards, including a 62-yard TD pass from Clausen in the final minute to give UT a 24-20 lead.
WR Kelley Washington continues to be one of the Vols' major offensive weapons ... Washington caught 9 passes for 108 yards today a week after setting the UT single-game yardage record with 256 on 11 catches against LSU ... He leads the Vols this season with 29 catches for 473 yards (16.3/catch).
QB Casey Clausen completed 24-of-40 for 295 yards with 3 touchdowns and 1 interceptions today ... Clausen is now 9-2 as a starter at quarterback for the Vols and 7-1 vs. SEC teams ... His three TD passes today are a season-high and most for the sophomore since throwing five TDs against Arkansas last season.
DB Rashad Baker picked off his second pass of the season in the first quarter, returning it 41 yards to UGA 17-yardline ... Baker's pick set up the Vols' second TD when Clausen hit Scott on the ensuing play for a 17-yard TD pass and a 14-3 lead ... Baker's 41-yard return was the longest of his career, bettering the mark he set last season with a 27-yarder at South Carolina ... Today's interception was Baker's third of his career.
Junior DE Constantin Ritzmann started his first game today, replacing the injured Will Overstreet (knee-out indefinitely) ... Sophomore OT Sean Young made his first career start on the Vols' offensive line today.
