September 18, 2000 | Football
The announcing team for the game telecast will include Bob Bell with play-by-play and analysis from Terence Cleveland. Over 50 participating cable systems across the state of Tennessee are scheduled to carry the telecast from the VideoSeat pay-per-view service.
Fans should contact their local cable system to order the game and receive price information. Home satellite dish owners (large C-band dishes) located outside the service areas of the participating cable systems may order the game by calling (800) 887-8277 beginning Monday, September 18.
Also, the game will be made available to Dish Network satellite owners (Channel # 462). No phone orders will be taken for Dish Network subscribers, just follow ordering instructions on your TV screen prior to kick-off on game-day.
Rules and guidelines regarding pay-per-view telecasts:
The telecast is available only in the state of Tennessee to participating cable systems and home satellite owners. Not all cable systems in the state of Tennessee may have the event available.
Southeastern Conference rules prevent the game from being made available to fans outside the state of Tennessee, except for official alumni groups which have been approved by the University. There are no other exceptions to this rule. Official alumni groups should contact the UT alumni office at (865) 974-3011 to receive approval. Cost per alumni group is $225.
Dish Network satellite owners only in the state of Tennessee may subscribe to the game. This is the only small-dish service that has the telecast available. (This does not include DirectTV, PrimeStar, etc.)
