Tennessee Senior Forward C.J. Black
On matching up with North Carolina's Brendan Haywood:
"I have gone up against a lot of seven-footers in the SEC, but guarding
him will be a tough task. Offensively, I can play inside and out. He
will have to respect me fully. If doesn't respect my jumper, I will have
a career night."
On being the highest remaining seed:
"We expected to be here. Our goal remains to reach the Final Four."
Tennessee Junior Guard Tony Harris
On the tempo of the game against North Carolina:
"Tempo is going to be real important. We have people on the bench who
can come in and play every position, so it's definitely in our favor to
push up the tempo."
Tennessee Sophomore Forward Vincent Yarborough
On earning respect for the Tennessee program:
"In the last few years we have really made a name for Tennessee
basketball. We weren't getting the recognition that we deserved. We are
trying to build up the tradition of our program, and any time we go up
against a North Carolina that is a step in the right direction."
Tennessee Junior Forward Isiah Victor
On the North Carolina game:
"It's going to be very physical. That goes to their advantage. We're
going to try to press them and try to wear them down."
On Tennessee's goals in the NCAA Tournament:
"We're definitely on a mission. To be in the Sweet Sixteen shows the
kind of team that we have. The scary thing is that we have so much
talent that we haven't even shown yet."
