KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – After four straight home games, Tennessee hits the road and returns to conference play with another important series against No. 20 Georgia this weekend in Athens.

The Volunteers will be playing their fifth, sixth and seventh consecutive games against a ranked opponent this weekend when they face the Bulldogs. UT will also be aiming for its second straight SEC series win after taking two of three games at home last weekend against No. 14 Texas A&M. The last time the Big Orange won back-to-back SEC series was 2010 when they took two games form Kentucky (4/30 – 5/2) before sweeping Georgia (5/7 – 5/9).

- Tennessee went 3-1 last week and earned its second SEC series victory of the season by taking two of three games from No. 14 Texas A&M.
- The Vols series win was their first in program history over the Aggies and their first over a ranked team since taking two of three from No. 7 Florida in Gainesville in April of last season.
- UT now has seven wins in SEC play, which matches their conference win total from all of last season with 12 games still left to play. The Vols are 6-3 at home in conference play.

- Tennessee's bullpen was spectacular in the team's series win over the Aggies, allowing just five hits and one run in 10 innings of work. - Senior Benito Santiago continued his strong play in non-conference games with two more hits in Wednesday's 7-6 loss to No. 21 Tennessee Tech. The Florida native is now batting .411 with 37 hits and 23 RBI in non-conference play this season.
- Freshman Zach Daniels hit his fifth home run of the season in UT's loss to the Golden Eagles on Wednesday.
- Sophomore shortstop Andre Lipcius had a big bounce-back week last week, leading the Vols with a .444 batting average and four RBI. Lipcius hit his fourth home run of the year with a two-run blast in the top of the first inning of UT's game one win over the Aggies.
- Sophomore Jay Charleston had a big weekend against the Aggies, leading the team with a .500 batting average, six hits and two stolen bases.
- Senior center fielder Brodie Leftridge hit his first two home runs of the season with a pair of solo shots against Texas A&M last weekend.
- Freshman RHP Chase Wallace earned his first-career win after allowing just one run on two hits while striking out four in four innings of work out of the bullpen in Tennessee's series-opening win over Texas A&M on Friday Wallace got the final two outs of Sunday's series finale to pick up his third save of the season.
