Luke Cockrum was promoted to Assistant Director of Special Events & Hospitality with Tennessee Athletics in January 2026 after nearly three years of progressive growth within the department. Since joining the staff in February 2023, Cockrum has advanced through roles as Premium Service Staff, Intern, and Event Coordinator before earning his current position.
Cockrum is a Knoxville native and proud Tennessee alumnus, graduating magna cum laude from UTK in Spring 2023 with a Bachelor's degree in Recreation and Sport Management. He received the Samuel Venable Award and was a member of Tri-Alpha during his time at UT. He later earned his MBA from Louisiana State University Shreveport, graduating cum laude.
He is eager to continue growing his career within UTK Athletics, taking on larger roles with premium spaces at Football and Softball while serving as the primary point of contact for the tour program.
