Kelley Mitchell joined Tennessee Athletics in Fall 2022 and currently serves as the assistant director of student services and tutor coordinator. In this role, she also works as a learning specialist while overseeing the tutoring program. She provides individualized academic support and strategy instruction to student-athletes, hires and trains part-time student employees and schedules content-specific tutoring appointments. Her overall goal is to support student-athletes in becoming the best versions of themselves both in the classroom and in life.
Prior to arriving in Knoxville, Mitchell served as an assistant tutor coordinator and learning specialist at West Virginia University, where she earned her master’s degree in higher education administration while working in the office of student-athlete development.
Originally from Spring, Texas, Kelley earned her Bachelor of Arts and Sciences from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, where she studied communications and American Sign Language while competing as a member of the women’s soccer team.
Kelley resides in South Knoxville with her sister, Chelsea, and their three dogs.
