Dr. Muriel Ledbetter joined Tennessee Athletics in the summer of 2014 and currently serves as the director of student services. In her role, Ledbetter works as a learning specialist across multiple sports and leads a team of Tennessee Tailored Learning Specialists, while also overseeing all Tennessee Tailored Student Services team operations.
Prior to arriving in Knoxville, she served as a graduate assistant at the Student-Athlete Enhancement Center at Middle Tennessee State University, where she provided individualized support and strategy instruction to student-athletes across multiple sports.
Originally from Memphis, Tennessee, Ledbetter earned both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in business administration, as well as a specialist in education degree, from Middle Tennessee State University. She later earned her Doctor of Education in Higher Education Administration from Tennessee State University in Nashville, Tennessee.
