- Biggest event in her life was when her parents sent her to the United States at age 14. Chen said it helped her become independent and rely on herself at an early age.

- Reason she chose Tennessee: 'I came to Tennessee because of the program, amazing facilities and great academic programs at UT.'
- Any superstitions: Always wears a visor for good luck, no matter what the weather condition
- Favorite TV Show: Duck Dynasty
- Hobbies: Fishing, cooking and gaming
