Dezerea Bryant enters her second season as a Volunteer Assistant Coach with Tennessee’s track and field team. After a stellar collegiate sprinting career, Bryant will work with the Tennessee sprints and relays.
Bryant graduated from University of Kentucky in 2015 after a decorated collegiate running career with the Wildcats and Clemson. Bryant earned 17 All-American honors and set the collegiate record in the 200m with a time of 22.18.
Bryant began her collegiate career with Clemson where she was a nine-time All-American and 10-time All-ACC performer in her freshman and sophomore seasons. She won nine ACC Championships while running in the 60m and 200m races indoors and the 100m, 200m and 400m outdoors. While at Clemson, Bryant worked with current UT Assistant coach Tim Hall. When Hall left for Kentucky after the 2013 season, Bryant was granted a transfer to Kentucky.
With the Wildcats, Bryant was an eight-time All-American and a 14-time All-SEC performer. She won the 2014 SEC Indoor championship in the 60m with a time of 7.16. In her final collegiate race, she won the 200m NCAA National Championship with a time of 22.18.
Internationally, Bryant won gold medals at the 2010 and 2012 World Junior Championships as a member of the 4x100m relay team.
