2025-26 - FRESHMAN
- At the 2026 SEC Championships...
- Earned an improved time in the 100 free by clocking a 43.30 in qualifying (2/21/26).
- Recorded his best 50 free time by touching the wall in 19.90 during the preliminary races (2/20/16).
- Claimed his first SEC medal with Tennessee's No. 2 400 medley relay time of 3:01.20 alongside Ulises Saravia, Gui Caribe and Gabe Nunziata.
- Took 10th overall in the 100 fly, posting the No. 4 time in program history of 45.04 during his SEC Championships debut (2/19/26).
- Competed in his first home meet by swimming the 100 free, 100 fly and 200 free relay during the dual meet victory against Duke.
- Made his collegiate debut and took home a second-place finish in the 200 medley relay by clocking a time of 1:23.91 alongside Ulises Saravia, Gabe Nunziata and Gui Caribe at the dual meet against Georgia.
Prior to Tennessee
- Top Times prior to Tennessee (Converted from LCM & SCM): 50 Free (19.19), 100 Fly (45.94), 200 Fly (1:51.90), 100 Free (43.96)
- Competed at the Brazilian Olympic Trials, the South American Championships and the School World Cup in Bahrain.
- During the South American Championships, he finished second in the 100 fly, and at the Brazilian National Championships, he finished fourth overall in the event.
- When converting his top times to short course yards, Paula's 50 free mark would rank seventh in school history, and his 100 fly is just 0.02 seconds from ranking inside the top 10.
