Baby Race at Lady Vol Volleyball
Do you have a child with the need for speed? Sign them up for a chance to be a part of our Baby Race at the Lady Vol Volleyball match on October 19th! First serve for the match is set for 2 PM, and the race will occur between sets 2 and 3, at approximately 3 PM. See below for all you need to know prior to entering your child in for a chance to be selected to participate.
- Babies must be between 6–15 months old to participate
- Babies that can walk are NOT eligible to participate
- Children that walk during the race will be disqualified from contention to win the grand prize
- The crawling race will take place from the 10-foot line on the home side of the floor to just past the service line – a distance of approximately 20 feet
- Two escorts may accompany the baby to the game and will be permitted on court
- Parents/Guardians may use objects (toys, keys, etc.) to encourage babies along the course
- If at any point race participants become uncomfortable with the situation (crying, refusing to move, etc.), parents/guardians may remove their baby from the race
- For the baby to win, they must cross any part of their body across the finish line without parental assistance
- The winner will receive a Lady Vol baby gear prize pack AND a month’s supply of diapers!
