FellowVOL
Program Overview:
· Number of Openings: 4
· 12-month paid position
· Starting August 2026
· Classification: Temporary, Full-Time, Non-Exempt
General Info:
The FellowVOL Program is a 12-month paid rotational fellowship designed to provide recent graduates with invaluable experience and preparation for a career in intercollegiate athletics. This immersive program offers hands-on opportunities across key areas of the athletic department, including fundraising, administration, marketing, and other critical functions.
Participants in the FellowVOL Program will:
· Gain practical experience by rotating through various departments
· Collaborate with and learn from top leaders in the industry
· Contribute to departmental events and projects that may extend beyond their rotations
· Serve as liaisons at key locations throughout athletic facilities
· Take on game-day responsibilities for all home football games
· Spend approximately 3 months in each rotation
Duties and responsibilities of the four rotations may include, but are not limited to:
Event Management:
· Be available to work all home events, in a variety of roles, during assigned rotation
o May involve early mornings and late evenings, depending on event timing
· Deliver tours of Neyland Stadium and other facilities as required
· Assist with operational and logistical coordination for select events
Fan Experience:
· Help coordinate and execute in-game marketing/promotional components and strategic sponsorship activations for sports during assigned rotation
o May involve early mornings and late evenings, depending on event timing
· Conceptualize and create distinctive promotional materials that enhance the visibility and energy of athletic events
· Drive innovative strategies to enhance student engagement and deepen connection with the student body and athletic program
Human Resources & Athletic Administration:
· Complete tasks related to the onboarding and departure of employees as assigned by the Director of Human Resources
· Coordinate with the Senior Associate Athletics Director of Executive Operations on projects and initiatives
· Open and manage the Athletic Director Suite
· Update the Department’s internal television channel using Hypersign+
Tennessee Fund:
· Respond to donor inquiries and troubleshoot donor concerns via phone calls and emails, often utilizing Ticketmaster software to facilitate requests and answer questions
· Work Tennessee Fund donor events
o May involve early mornings and late evenings, depending on event timing
· Conduct research to support departmental initiatives, including event pricing and premium seating
Additional Information: Office Hours are 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM Monday through Friday. Non-traditional hours may be required depending on the rotation and time of year.

Additional Requirements: Candidates must hold a minimum of a bachelor’s degree and be willing to relocate to Knoxville, TN.
