Traffic Patterns Affected By Campus And Neyland Stadium Construction, Upgrades
Due to on-going construction and upgrades on Campus and to Neyland Stadium, fans should be advised of changes coming to normal traffic patterns on Phillip Fulmer Way and Peyton Manning Pass during the 2024-25 basketball seasons. Please prepare in advance and stay tuned for more information.
- Phillip Fulmer Way from G-10 garage to Neyland Stadium Gate 21 vicinity will be closed.
- Phillip Fulmer Way will be closed to southbound traffic at Middle Drive, and Fulmer will not be accessible via Peyton Manning Pass
- G-10 Parking Passholders should enter from Neyland Drive to the parking garage &Â should avoid using Lake Loudoun Blvd.
- Vehicular entry via the area northeast of the Food City Center will be inaccessible, and avoiding that vicinity is strongly recommended.

Recommendations for Basketball Parking Permit Holders:Â
Arrive early!
G-10 Parking Passholder should enter from Neyland Drive to the parking garage:
- PLEASE NOTE: G-10 Parking Passholders should avoid using Lake Loudoun Blvd
G3/G4 Parking Passholder you are encouraged to enter from Neyland Drive and Lake Loudoun Blvd.
- PLEASE NOTE: G3/G4Â Parking Passholders should avoid using Chamique Holdsclaw Drive to turn left on Lake Loudoun Blvd
G5-30/C8 & G-16 Parking Passholder you are encouraged to enter from Joe Johnson to Volunteer Blvd to Lake Loudoun Blvd
- PLEASE NOTE: G5-30/C8/G16 Parking Passholders should avoid using Chamique Holdsclaw Drive to turn left on Lake Loudoun Blvd
All other Basketball Parking Passholders please make note of the following route recommendations:
- USE: Joe Johnson to Volunteer Blvd to access campus and permitted lots
- AVOID: Neyland Drive. Neyland Drive is recommended for G-10 Parking Passholders
- NOTE: Lake Loudoun Blvd will only be accessible to G3/G4/G5-30 Parking Passholders
General Public Paid Parking:
The following lots have limited parking available for $20 (Cards only, no cash) on a first-come, first-served basis for men's basketball games::
- G2 – Under McClung Tower – ONLY if there is NOT a play at Clarence Brown Theatre
- Staff 9 (weekends and student holidays only / enter from Phillip Fulmer Way (across from Gate 21)

- CF (across from Brehm and Food Science)
- S65/66/C4 (behind the Vet Hospital)
ADA/Accessible Parking
- Fans with a current valid accessible placard or license plate will park on the Ag Campus in lot CF (across from Brehm and Food Science)
FREE Shuttle from Ag Campus - all shuttles are fully accessible for those with disabilities. (purple star)
- Shuttle location on the Ag campus is River Dr near Brehm and across from the CF lot
- Once at the Food City Center, accessible shuttle loading and unloading is by Arena Dining
- Shuttles begin 2 hours prior to tip-off
- Return shuttles run until two hours post game or until the Food City Center is cleared
Due to upcoming road closures on Phillip Fulmer Way and Pat Head Summitt Street – the loading and unloading for regular shuttles has been adjusted – please make note of the new unloading and loading locations at the Food City Center.
- NEW -Â Prior to the game, regular shuttles will unload at Chamique Holdsclaw and Lake Loudoun Blvd
- NEW -Â After the game, regular shuttles will load at Lake Loudoun Blvd and Phillip Fulmer Way
General Public Accessible Parking:Â
Fans with basketball tickets and a current valid accessible placard or plate but NO Basketball Parking Permit will park in the CF lot of the Ag Campus.Â
Traffic Prior to the Game:
UTPD / Gameday Traffic Control improve the traffic flow and decrease the time fans spend sitting in traffic. Here are some measures taken:
- Southbound traffic (going towards the river) on Lake Loudoun Blvd will not be permitted to make a left hand turn onto Phillip Fulmer Way beginning 45 minutes prior to tip off.
- Northbound traffic on Lake Loudoun Blvd will not be permitted to turn left onto Chamique Holdsclaw Drive beginning 45 minutes prior to tip off.
- Northbound traffic (in the left lane) on Lake Loudoun Blvd will not be permitted to turn right onto Phillip Fulmer Way beginning 45 minutes prior to tip off.
Rideshare
- Rideshare pickup and drop-off will be available most game at the gravel lot C1 on Todd Helton (behind Lindsey Nelson Baseball Stadium)
- We recommend you travel Volunteer Blvd to Todd Helton (behind Fraternity Park) and enter and exit this way to avoid the Chamique Holdsclaw and Lake Loudoun intersection.
- Due to new shuttle unloading at Chamique Holdsclaw and Lake Loudoun prior to the game, we do not have the capacity for rideshare vehicles to drop or pick up at this location.

Traffic After the Game:
UTPD/ Gameday Traffic Control expedite the traffic off campus and allow guests to get home as quickly as possible. Please follow police instructions.
In addition, this orderly pattern also allows the buses to more freely travel back and forth to the Ag campus to return guests to their vehicles at that location.

Arena Policies

Venue Entry
All fans, regardless of age must have a ticket for admission to Thompson-Boling Arena at Food City Center.
Doors open 90 minutes before tip-off.
There is no re-entry to the arena. In order to leave and re-enter, spectators must have an unused ticket or purchase another ticket.
All tickets will be electronically scanned to verify authenticity. Tickets will be scanned each time a patron enters the arena. Once a ticket has been scanned upon entry, it cannot be reused by another guest. Customers assume all risks for tickets purchased through a source other than the University of Tennessee Athletic Ticket Office.

Lost & Found
If a lost item has been turned in, it can be retrieved from the Athletic Event Management Office at 1600 Phillip Fulmer Way Suite 230 the following business day.

Please note, items that contain legal identification (ex. wallet with driver's license) will be turned over to the University of Tennessee Police Department. You may contact them directly at 865-974-3114.

Walk-through Metal Detector
Walk-through metal detectors are now in place and operational at all arena entrances.
Please be advised that this security measure may add time to the process of entering the arena, so fans are encouraged to allow additional time for entry. Patrons are also encouraged to bring only necessary items with them in order to ensure a smooth and timely arena entry.
Accessibility
PARKING
Accessible parking is available on the UT Agriculture Campus on a first-come, first-served basis along with a free, fully accessible shuttle service to Food City Center beginning two hours prior to tip-off and running one hour post-game. The shuttle loading and unloading area is on River Drive near Brehm Animal Science Building and across from the CF lot (NOT on Joe Johnson).
In addition, free gameday accessible parking for those with a valid placard is located in the following lots, based on space availability:
- G-16 (enter off Pat Head Summitt St)
- C-15 (enter from Neyland Dr)
- 9-A (enter from Volunteer Blvd)
- Staff 9 (weekends and student holidays only / enter from Peyton Manning Pass)
The UT Athletic Department makes assignments to its Tennessee Fund donors including individuals requiring accessible parking. Individuals attending UT basketball games who do not qualify for Tennessee Fund parking through the UT Athletic Department may apply for accessible parking through the UT Parking and Transit Services Office. Please note that this type of accessible parking is limited and requires documentation of a valid accessible parking placard/license plate.
Please note that accessible parking is not available for donor-only lots unless a valid permit for that specific lot is presented.

ENTRY
All gate entrances of Food City Center are accessible. ADA elevator entrances are located off Phillip Fulmer Way at the East and West ends of the building.
Walk-through metal detectors are in place and operational at all arena entrances. If you have a health concern, please notify law enforcement at the gate for an alternative screening procedure.
UT’s Clear Bag and Prohibited Items policies are in effect at all basketball games. Medically necessary items, including outside food, snacks or beverage for medical purposes, must be searched and verified at one of the following gates:
- Media gate
- ADA entrance on Phillip Fulmer Way closest to Arena Dining
- Gate B
- Gate D
Diaper bags are not a medically necessary item. All diaper bag supplies should be carried in a clear bag.
