2007 Placekicker Ocala, Fla. Daniel Lincoln wasted little time in making his mark on Tennessee football. He earned All-America honors from the Football Writers Association of America in 2007, his freshman season on Rocky Top. During the 2007 campaign, the Ocala, Fla., native made 21-of-28 field goal attempts and scored 112 points, which was a school record for points in a season for a kicker and the third-most points in a season overall. His 21 field goals made and 112 points were also school freshman records. Included in those 21 conversions were a several clutch kicks. Lincoln nailed a 48-yard kick in the waning seconds of the South Carolina game to send it into overtime, and then converted a 27-yard kick to win the game in the extra period. Three weeks later, he drove home a 33-yard attempt with 2:46 remaining in the Vanderbilt game that proved to be the deciding score. Lincoln?s 2008 campaign was hampered by a sluggish UT offense, but the sophomore finished a perfect 22-of-22 on PATs and 10-of-18 on field goals with a long of 47 yards.
