Vols In NFL Update (8/12)

Saturday night featured the clash of former Vol running backs as Arian Foster and the Houston Texans and Tauren Poole and the Carolina Panthers met in Charlotte for their first preseason games of 2012.

Houston Texans 26, Carolina Panthers 13

Foster had just one carry on the night for an 11 yard gain.

Poole netted his first touchdown in a Panthers uniform on a one yard rush which you can see here! (NFL.com) The rookie finished as the leading rusher for the Panthers with four carries for 26 yards and a touchdown.

The Carolina fans have already begun the Poole cheers.

Omar Gaither, picked up by the Texans on Friday, did not see game action. He came to the Texans after playing 2011 in Carolina.
