Playing in his first career ITF Futures quarterfinal, Libietis lost 6-4, 6-0 to world No. 645 Viktor Galovic at the Lithuanian President's Cup in Vilnius.Â
By all accounts, the tournament was a successful one for Libietis. The Latvian native ousted the tournament's No. 2 seed -- world No. 290 Jordi Samper-Montana -- 6-4, 6-1 in the second round Wednesday.
Libietis, the Vols' top returner, has one tournament to go before returning to Knoxville for the fall semester. He is playing in an ITF Futures event in Latvia next week.Â
