The Aussie pair fended off all four break points in the match and eventually served out the match in the deciding 10-point tiebreaker. They face Olivier Charroin and Martin Fischer in the quarterfinals.Â
Smith, who has won five doubles titles in 2012, has now won matches with six different partners. He is currently ranked No. 161 in the ATP doubles rankings.Â
In California: Tennys Sandgren is back in action again this week in California for a $15,000 Futures event in Chico. He again earned the No. 1 seed and faces unranked qualifier Paul Kramberger in his first round Wednesday. Sandgren is also teaming up recently-turned-pro Bjorn Fratangelo in doubles.
