- Four Vols saw action as the Dolphins beat the Panthers, 20-10. Miami's Kevin Burnett made a team-high four tackles while Marvin Mitchell made his Phins debut after being signed and had two tackles including a TFL. Tony McDaniel also played, but had not stats. Omar Gaither played his second game as a member of the Panthers and had a tackle.
- The Ravens downed the Chiefs, 31-13. Chiefs' DB Eric Berry had two tackles and a pass defended. Punter Dustin Colquitt booted eight balls for a 46.5 average with a tremendous 45.1 net and five punts inside the 20-yard line. Morgan Cox snapped four times for the Ravens on kicks.
- The Redskins beat the Colts, 16-3. Donte' Stallworth had a nice catch over the middle for 23 yards for Washington. Peyton Manning was still sidelined, but lineman Jacques McClendon suited up for Indy.
- The Super Bowl Champion Green Bay Packers beat the Cardinals, 28-20. Linemen Chad Clifton and Scott Wells played for the Packers while second-year defensive lineman Dan Williams had a 4-yard sack for the Cardinals.
- LaMarcus Thompson had a tackle for the Falcons, who lost to the Jaguars, 15-13.Â
-Â Cleveland lost to Detroit, 30-28. Both rookie Jarrod Shaw and running back Montario Hardesty did not play for the Browns. Â
