Darr, an undrafted rookie out of Tennessee, outperformed Fields this preseason. He had both a higher punting average (50.3 to 47.0) and net punting average (41.9 to 41.1).
Darr is one of four former Vols with the Miami Dolphins, joining offensive lineman Ja'Wuan James, Dallas Thomas and Jacques McClendon.Â
