LISTEN:Â Butch Jones on 3HL
"We will know a little bit more tonight and into tomorrow," Jones said of Justin Worley's status. "He has taken some shots. I believe it is a cumulative effect, not just from the Ole Miss (game), but a very, very long season. So, he's meeting with our doctors again to see exactly where he's at and how we move forward."
Jones added the following about the Vols' signal callers, Nathan Peterman and Joshua Dobbs.
"The great thing about how we practice is that we try to get both Josh and Nate, over the course of the season, very, very premium reps, very important reps throughout practice," said Jones. "You know it's a long season. Again, as we have become accustom to, you need more than one quarterback, especially in thos conference. They have taken some valuable repetitions over time and if Justin isn't able to go, they will be ready to step up and we would play both quarterbacks, if Justin doesn't go on Saturday."
Dobbs has experience playing against Alabama, as he relieved an injured Justin Worley last season.Â
"It helps, anytime you have live game opportunities," Jones said, "with Nate last year, then this year, and Josh last year. His first action as a Vol came in the Alabama game. So again, there is nothing better than live game opportunities."
