On Wednesday, #VFL and Kansas City Royals right-hander Luke Hochevar threw for the first time since having Tommy John surgery on March 17, playing catch in an indoor batting cage at Detroit's Comerica Park.
"It felt awesome, my first couple of throws, just because I hadn't thrown for a while. But overall it felt good," Hochevar told MLB.com. "Typically getting loose is a little cranky, but today it felt awesome. Hopefully that continues."
Hochevar threw two sessions of 25 pitches at a 45-foot distance and will continue a rehabilitation program of throwing twice a week until he approaches the mound again in January.
