The Tennessee at Georgia football game on CBS last Saturday recorded a national rating of 2.9 with a 7 share. The viewing audience for the Vols and Bulldogs was 4.682 million.
The game was the second-most watched college football game for the Sept. 28 weekend. Only the Ohio State-Michigan State game on ABC drew a larger audience with a 3.6 rating.
In Knoxville, the Vols-Georgia game drew a 26.8 rating and a 47 share, meaning 47 percent of televisions in the market were tuned in to the game during that 3:30-7:30 p.m., time slot.Â
