Chotikabhukkana and Murphy Named to SEC Golf Community Service Teams
June 17, 2026 | Men's Golf, Women's Golf, Tennessee Tailored
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Southeastern Conference announced its 2026 Golf Community Service Teams on Wednesday morning, with Lady Vol Manassanan Chotikabhukkana earning a place on the women's team and Vol Bruce Murphy securing a spot on the men's team.
The SEC Community Service Team is designed to recognize one student athlete from each school in each of the league's 21 sponsored sports who gives back to his or her community through superior service efforts.
Chotikabhukkana has made an immense impact on the Knoxville community and beyond in her four years with the Tennessee women's golf program. The senior from Bangkok, Thailand, logged over 35 hours of community service with local organizations, such as Big Brothers and Big Sisters of East Tennessee, and with various Brazilian organizations as part of an international service immersion experience with the VOLeaders Academy in 2025.
Murphy was chosen to represent the men's golf program for his involvement in the VOLeaders Academy, which is designed to cultivate student-athlete leaders through sport to create positive change.
In addition to the components of VOLeaders that take place on campus, Murphy, and the rest of the current VOLeaders cohort, will take part in a two-week international exchange this summer that provides applied leadership and service opportunities focused on community development and social change through sport.
The pair follows in the footsteps of Bailey Davis and Josh Hill, who were picked to represent Tennessee on the SEC Community Service Teams in 2025.
Chotikabhukkana closed an illustrious career with the Lady Vols at the NCAA Championships in May, helping Tennessee to a second consecutive top-20 national finish. Murphy enters his final season with the Vols in 2026-27 after making an impact on the course over the last three seasons for Tennessee.
