Lady Vols Tied Fourth After One Round at NCAA Lubbock Regional

LUBBOCK, Texas – The Tennessee women's golf team is in fourth place after round one at the NCAA Lubbock Regional.
As a team, UT shot 17-over on Sunday and is tied with Arizona ahead of round two.
Martina Lopez-Lanchares led the way for the Lady Vols during round one. The sophomore shot a 1-over 73 after a gritty performance in her second nine holes of the day with a 2-under 34. She currently sits tied for seventh.
Senior Bailey Davis gave UT its second-best score of the day after logging a 76. The senior also bounced back after a tough front nine and went 1-under after the turn. The White Plains, Maryland, native is tied for 19th going into the second round.
Kyra Van Kan and Manassanan Chotikabhukkana each started the event with a 78 and are tied for 38th ahead of Monday's round.
Sofie Engeseth shot an 81 in round one and sits tied for 54th.
