CARLSBAD, Calif. - Tennessee men's golfer Lance Simpson was named to the PING All-Southeast Region team Saturday morning, as announced by the Golf Coaches Association of America.Â
This marks the sixth straight year in which Tennessee has had at least one golfer earn All-Region honors.Â
Simpson, who most recently qualified for the 2025 U.S. Open at Oakmont Country Club, has led the Vols with four top-10 finishes this season, including a sixth-place showing at NCAA Regionals that guided the Big Orange to their second consecutive NCAA Championships appearance.Â
His best outings of the season came at the Visit Knoxville Collegiate and Fighting Irish Classic where he was UT's highest finisher after tying for third.Â
This honor marks the first career all-region honor for the Knoxville, Tennessee, native.Â
Simpson and the rest of the Volunteers are set to tee off in round two at the NCAA Championships Saturday afternoon.Â
