Van Kan Tabbed to SEC All-Freshman Team; Davis Named to SEC Community Service Team

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - Tennessee women's golfer Kyra Van Kan and Bailey Davis each earned SEC Yearly honors, the conference announced Friday.

Van Kan earned SEC All-Freshman Team honors after a regular season in which she competed in each tournament as a member of the lineup, notched five top-25 finishes and earned two SEC Freshman of the Week honors.

The freshman's best showing of the season came at the Betsy Rawls Longhorn Invitational where she tied for second place in a stacked field.

Davis, who is in her final season with the Lady Vols, was named to the SEC Community Service Team. The White Plains, Maryland, native logged over 40 hours of community service and most recently won the Extraordinary Campus Leadership and Service Award at the Chancellor's Honors Banquet.

Van Kan, Davis and the rest of the Tennessee women's golf team is set to tee off at NCAA Regionals at the Rawls Course in Lubbock, Texas, which runs from Monday, May 5 through Wednesday, May 7.
