Herrington, Hill Inside Top 15 After Two Rounds at Valspar Collegiate Invitational

PALM CITY, Fla. - Tennessee golfers Jackson Herrington and Josh Hill sit inside the top 15 after two rounds at the Valspar Collegiate Invitational following strong second rounds.
Herrington notched a 2-under 69 and then continued upon his momentum in round two to card a 4-under 67. The long-hitting lefty played the par-5s at 6-under on day one and enters round three tied for seventh.
Hill also opened the event under-par after logging a 70 in round one and then went on to shoot a 67 in his second 18 holes of the tournament. The junior enters the final round at 5-under overall and tied for 11th.
As a team, Tennessee sits 4-under and in 10th place ahead of Tuesday's round.
Lance Simpson fired a 69 in round one and a 74 in round two. The Knoxville, Tennessee, native is in 43rd going into day two.
Evan Woosley-Reed started with a 77 in the first round but bounced back nicely with an even-par 71 in the second round and is tied for 66th.
Tennessee's final lineup member, Laurent Desmarchais, is in 91st through two rounds.
