ATHENS, Ga. – On the final night of the 2025 SEC Championships, Tennessee swimming & diving broke an NCAA record, won five different event and claimed 10 total medals to cap off a strong week of competition.
Â
In the final event of the meet, the squad of Gui Caribe, Nikoli Blackman, Lamar Taylor and Jordan Crooks shattered their second NCAA record of the week, blasting a 2:42.41 in the 400 free relay to take down the old record of 2:43.40 by Arizona State at last year's NCAA Championships. Crooks anchored the relay with the fastest 100 free relay split of all time, touching the wall in 39.52 to chase down the field and secure the record and gold.
Â
In total, the Big Orange combined to win 28 medals, with 12 gold, nine silver and seven bronze between the two teams. The Lady Vols enjoyed a strong week, finishing third overall with 1172 points, after bringing home seven SEC titles and winning 18 total medals. The Vols placed third with a total of 977.5 points behind 10 medals won, including five championships.
Â
Capping off a spectacular week, Camille Spink completed her sweep of the 50 free, 100 free and 200 free, becoming the first SEC swimmer to achieve the feat since Georgia's Kara Lynn Joyce in 2007. In Saturday's 100 free final, she clocked the No. 2 time in school history at 46.25. For her performances throughout the week, she was a co-recipient of the SEC Commissioner's Trophy, which is awarded to the top individual point scorers of the meet.

Spink wasn't alone on the podium, as Brooklyn Douthwright followed behind in second to win silver with the No. 3 time (47.44) in program history. It marked the first time ever two Lady Vols finished first and second in the event, and it was the second year in a row both Lady Vols medaled.
Â
In the men's version of the race, the Vols also had plenty of success as well. Crooks tied for first with Florida's Josh Liendo, touching the wall in 40.45. By bringing home gold, Crooks became the first UT swimmer since Ricky Busquets (1993, 1995, 1996) to win the event multiple times. Joining Crooks on the podium was Caribe, who medaled in the event for the third straight year. Caribe clocked a time of 40.85 to take the bronze.
