RIO GRANDE, Puerto Rico – Tennessee men's golfer Josh Hill is inside the top 10 after one round at the Puerto Rico Classic as the No. 23 Tennessee men's golf team is tied for sixth. Â

Hill, who is coming on the heels of a top-10 performance at The Stono, fired a 4-under 68 on Monday and enters round two tied for ninth. Additionally, Hill played the par-5s and par-4s at 2-under.Â
Â
As a team, the Vols shot a 6-under 282 on day one and sit two shots outside the top five ahead of moving day.
Â
Tennessee's current season-stroke average leader, Lance Simpson, carded a 2-under 70 to open the event and sits tied for 20th going into round two.
Â
Freshman Kai Komulainen, who is competing individually, also opened the tournament with a 70 and sits alongside Simpson inside the top 20.

Jackson Herrington was the final Vol in red numbers on Monday as he posted a 1-under 70. The Dickson, Tennessee, native enters round two just one shot outside the top 25.

Bruce Murphy and Evan Woosley-Reed both started the Puerto Rico Classic with a pair of 73s and are tied for 51st.
