PREVIEW: #5/8 Tennessee Hosts #7/11 Georgia for Senior Day

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – Tennessee swimming & diving is set for a massive Senior Day matchup against the Georgia Bulldogs on Saturday afternoon at Allan Jones Intercollegiate Aquatic Center. The fifth-ranked Lady Vols will take on the No. 11 UGA women, while the fifth-ranked Vols square up with the No. 7 Georgia men.

Admission is free for all regular season meets, and the clear-bag policy will be in place for all fans. Parking will be available in Lot SC40 off Kingston Pike near Tyson Park (PDF). Spectators may also meter park on Volunteer Blvd at available meters. Fans can stream the contest on SEC Network+ and live results will be available on Meet Mobile.

Diving opens the day at noon followed by distance swimming at 12:40 p.m. ET. Around 1:20, the Big Orange will honor its seniors on the pool deck. At 2 p.m., the meet will resume against the Bulldogs. Throughout the meet, Tennessee will have free giveaways, entertainment and interactive fan stations. UT will also be recognizing its current Olympians.

Coming into the matchup, the Lady Vols have won five straight SEC dual meet contests. During their last three dual meets, they have won 40 of 45 events against Alabama, Arkansas and Kentucky.

In the men's last outing, the Vols defeated the Crimson Tide on the road behind a dominant showing that saw them win 12 events. The group is led by senior Jordan Crooks, who is the NCAA leader in four events and spearheads the nation's fastest 400 free and 400 medley relays.

After this meet, Tennessee concludes the regular season with a showdown on the road against Duke on Jan. 31 and Feb. 1. Friday's session will begin at 5 pm, while the Saturday slate will be at 10 a.m.
