Cantú Announces 2024-25 Women's Golf Schedule

Just less than two months away from the start of the fall season, Tennessee women's golf coach Diana Cantú announced the Lady Vols' 2024-25 schedule Wednesday.
"Our tournament schedule this season is competitive and diverse," said Cantú. "I am looking forward to watching our team compete at the highest level. I can see us winning this season and continuing to progress and grow out on the course."
Tennessee's schedule consists of nine regular season events, with a home tournament in both the fall and spring.
In the spring, five regular season tournaments precede April's SEC Championships, which are set to be contested at Pelican Golf Club in Belleair, Florida, for the second consecutive season.
The Lady Vols are scheduled to play tournaments in eight different states, including a trip out to the West Coast for the Therese Hession Regional Challenge in Palos Verdes, California.
For the sixth time in seven seasons, the Lady Vols will tee off their fall slate at the Cougar Classic, hosted by the College of Charleston at Yeaman's Hall, running Sept. 9-10.
Following a 13-day hiatus, Tennessee will travel to Charlottesville, Virginia, for the Cavalier Regional Preview, hosted by Virginia at Birdwood Golf Course, which will serve as one of six NCAA Regional host sites in 2025.
Three weeks later, the Lady Vols will head to Raleigh, North Carolina, to tee it up in Ruth's Chris Tar Heel Invitational from Oct. 11-13 at the Finley Golf Course. This season will mark the sixth time in program history and third under Cantu that UT will take part in the event.
Headlining Tennessee's fall slate for its final tournament of the fall is the 27th annual Mercedes-Benz Collegiate Championship at Cherokee Country Club in Knoxville, running Oct. 20-22.
To kick off their spring slate, the Lady Vols will travel to Palos Verdes, California, for the Therese Hession Regional Challenge, running from Feb. 2-4.
Roughly two weeks after its appearance on the West Coast, Tennessee will tee it up in the Moon Golf Invitational at Suntree Country Club in Melbourne, Florida.
After a month-long pause in the season, the Big Orange will compete at the University of Texas Golf Club from March 17-18 for the Betsy Rawls Longhorn Invitational.
For its fourth contest of the spring, Tennessee will take a trip to Sunset, South Carolina, for the Clemson Invitational, running March 28-20 at The Reserve at Lake Keowee. This will mark the third consecutive season for the Lady Vols to take part in the tournament.
To wrap up the regular season, the Lady Vols will stay home for the Tennessee Challenge at Fox Den Country Club. The event, which is in its first year of existence, will be a one-day tournament that features 36 holes of play.
UT will begin postseason play at the SEC Championship, hosted at Pelican Golf Club in Belleair, Florida, from April 14-18.
Tennessee is coming off a 2023-24 season in which it posted an overall record of 93-68-2 with two top-three tournament finishes. Additionally, the program advanced to its 30th NCAA Regional and Bailey Davis qualified for the NCAA Championships individually.
