CABO SAN LUCAS, Mexico - Tennessee redshirt senior Jake Hall is 7-under and tied for second place after two rounds at the Cabo Collegiate, while the Vols are 2-over and in seventh place as a team.
Hall built upon his first-round momentum and shot a 3-under 68 in round two. The Knoxville native registered 11 birdies through the first two rounds and enters the final round eyeing his first podium finish of the season.
Tennessee shot 2-under in round two and is one stroke behind Stanford heading into day three.
Laurent Desmarchais gave Tennessee a contributing round following his even-par round (71) on Monday. The junior enters the final round tied for 28th place at 2-over.
Bryce Lewis also provided the Vols with an even-par 71 in round two and sits tied for 32nd at 3-over.
Sophomore Evan Woosley-Reed provided Tennessee with its final counting round on day two with a 1-over 72. The Shelbyville, Tennessee, native's round was highlighted by a bogey-free 1-under front nine.
Redshirt sophomore Lance Simpson shot a 2-over 73 in the second round and is 5-over overall and tied for 47th place going into round three.
