Holden, Davis Shoot Fourth-Best Scores in Program History at Chevron Collegiate

HOUSTON – Senior Kayla Holden and junior Bailey Davis each posted the fourth-best 54-hole score in school history, tallying 9-under (207) to tie for sixth place at the Chevron Collegiate on Tuesday.

As a team, Tennessee finished tied for seventh with a score of 13-under (851), tied for the fifth-best team score in program history.

After a 1-over (73) in round one, Davis tallied a combined 10-under (134) in her final two rounds to shoot up the leaderboard. She now owns two of the four best 54-hole scores in school history (203 at the Mercedes-Benz Collegiate Championship in Sept. 2022).

Holden was impressively steady all tournament, posting 34 pars and 15 birdies over 54 holes. Her 8-under (136) in the first two rounds was the fourth-best figure through two rounds in school history.

Competing as an individual, freshman Martina Lopez-Lanchares shot a 6-under (138) in her final two rounds to place 30th, the best finish among all individuals.

Sophomores Angela Arora and Manassanan Chotikabhukkana tied for 48th place with a score of 3-over (219). Vanessa Gilly shot 5-over (221) to place 59th.
