Lady Vols Conclude Day One of Collegiate Invitational

GUADALAJARA, Mexico -- Tennessee women's golf wrapped up the first day of action at the Collegiate Invitational in eighth place, tallying a score of 18-over.
Friday saw 27 holes of golf at the Guadalajara Country Club, with the final round-and-a-half to commence on Saturday morning.
Senior Vanessa Gilly shot 1-over in all three nine-hole segments, propelling her to 13th place with a score of 3-over (111). One stroke behind her is sophomore Manassanan Chotikabhukkana, who recorded par on eight of her final nine holes to finish 4-over (112) through 27 holes.
Junior Bailey Davis sits in 27th place with a score of 5-over (113), shaping up to be the best finish of her season thus far. Freshman Martina Lopez-Lanchares is in 33rd place with a score of 6-over (114), and senior Kayla Holden used a par and six birdies in the second round to move up to 49th place with a score of 8-over (116) headed into Saturday's action.
The Lady Vols will tee off from hole 10 at approximately 10 a.m. ET on Saturday morning.
