Tennessee Announces 2023 Cross Country Schedule

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – Head coach and Director of Cross Country/Distance Sean Carlson announced the men's and women's cross country schedule for the 2023 campaign on Monday.
The calendar features four races during the regular season, beginning at home with the Tennessee Cross Country Invitational on Friday, September 1. The home meet will run at the Cherokee Farm Cross Country Course.
On September 15, the Vols and Lady Vols will run in the Gamecock Challenge. The race will serve as a course preview with South Carolina slated to host the SEC Championships on Saturday, October 28.
Between those two races, Tennessee will split the squads with part of the team traveling to Tuscaloosa, Alabama, for the Crimson Classic on October 13, while another group heads to Charlottesville, Virginia, for Pre-Nationals on October 14.
After SECs, UT will have select runners compete in the Hokie Open on November 3 in Blacksburg, Virginia.
The NCAA South Regional Championships are scheduled for Nov. 10 in Gainesville, Florida, with the NCAA National Championships coming the following weekend in Charlottesville on Nov. 18.
