White Announces Executive Staff Promotions
August 04, 2022 | General
Tennessee Vice Chancellor/Director of Athletics Danny White on Thursday announced promotions for multiple members of his executive leadership team.
Brady Hart, who oversees the Tennessee Fund, has been elevated to Executive Associate Athletics Director for Development. Â Under Hart's leadership, the Tennessee Fund set all-time records for fundraising total ($80,759,936), cash receipts ($68,568,453) and total donors (18,859) in 2021-22.
"As evidenced by their development of the new Shareholders Society, Brady and his team continue to be innovative in their approach to fundraising and generating championship resources to support our teams," White said. "Their efforts through the My All Campaign will be critical while we aim to grow our budget as outlined in our recently released Rise Glorious Strategic Plan."
Alicia Longworth, who manages the department's external engagement teams, has risen to Executive Associate Athletics Director for External Operations.
"In a relatively short amount of time, Alicia has orchestrated an impressive transformation of our gameday experience—particularly at Neyland Stadium," White said. "She and her team will continue to elevate our in-venue experiences across sports while also enhancing our broadcast delivery. In addition, since last football season, Alicia and the new in-house outbound sales team have implemented strategies leading to nearly 17,000 new season-ticket sales—extraordinary growth with still another month until kickoff."
Longtime sports medicine lead Jason McVeigh—who now also maintains oversight of sports performance, nutrition, mental wellness and sports science initiatives—was promoted to Senior Associate Athletics Director for Sports Medicine & Sports Performance.
"Jason's impact on Tennessee Athletics is longstanding and continues to grow," White said. "His oversight has expanded beyond sports medicine to elite-performance training, sports nutrition and our sports science initiatives. He brings a modern approach and continues to position Tennessee as a national leader in each of those areas."
After running point on the development of the Rise Glorious Strategic Plan, Marcus Hilliard has earned the title of Senior Associate Athletics Director/Chief of Staff.
"Marcus has been a driving force in multiple important initiatives over the last two years," White said. "From the planning and installation of our Football Trailblazers statues to the launch of our internal FellowVOL program, his leadership continues to help Tennessee Athletics lead the way in college sports."
And Amy Sterk, who coordinates critical internal projects within the executive suite, now holds the title of Associate Athletics Director for Executive Operations. Â Â Â
"Amy is the glue that keeps so many of our internal processes functioning at a high level." White said. "Her ability to smoothly multitask and serve as an 'air-traffic controller' of sorts contributes significantly to the department's ability to support our student-athletes' competitive and academic pursuits.
"These specific members of our leadership team made significant impacts over the last year in their respective areas of expertise," White said. "Department-wide, I'm grateful for our incredible staff members across all units, who each contributed to what was an outstanding year for the Big Orange in 2021-22. And we are excited for that momentum to continue this Fall."
