Women's Golf Central: Bardwell to Represent Lady Vols at NCAA Regionals

FRANKLIN, Tenn. – Senior Mikayla Bardwell will represent Tennessee women's golf as an individual in the NCAA Franklin Regional, running May 9-11 at the Vanderbilt Legends Club North Course.
The Franklin Regional consists of 12 teams and six individuals. The top four teams and top two individuals not on advancing teams will advance to the NCAA Championship at Grayhawk Golf Club in Scottsdale, Arizona, from May 20-25.
On the year, Bardwell led the Lady Vols in stroke average (73.05), rounds in the 60s (3), top-10 finishes (2) and is tied for the most rounds of par or better (7).
The Lewisville, Texas native is coming off a record-breaking performance at the SEC Championship. During the second round, Bardwell shot an impressive 63 (-9) to break the Tennessee program and SEC Championship record for lowest round to guide the Lady Vols to match play for the first time in program history. Her score also tied for the ninth-best round in relation to par in NCAA history.
Last season, Bardwell advanced as an individual to the NCAA Championship after she tied for second (-3) at the Louisville Regional.
