Lady Vols Tally Three Personal Bests on Second Day of Florida Relays

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – After weather postponed the start of the Florida Relays on Thursday, the action got underway Friday at Pearcy Beard Track at James G. Pressly Stadium.
Joella Lloyd, Kyla Robinson-Hubbard and Mikele Vickers opened up their 2022 outdoor campaigns Friday with personal-best marks. On the men's side, Georgios Korakidis and Anthony Riley posted top-3 placements in the men's hammer throw and long jump.
In the women's 200m dash, Lloyd went 23.32 en route to a personal-best time and a sixth-place finish overall. Also, on the track, Robinson-Hubbard competed in the women's 400-meter hurdles and turned in a personal-best performance of 59.03 seconds.
In the field, Vickers leaped 5.96m (19-6.75) in the women's long jump to place second overall. The jump is a personal best for the Nashville, Tennessee, native.
On the men's side, Korakidis opened the day for UT in the men's hammer throw. The Kilkis, Greece, native threw 68.19m (223-8) and finished fourth overall in the event and as the third-highest collegiate finisher.
Anthony Riley leaped 7.54m (24-9) in the men's long jump, achieving the mark on his second jump of the day. The mark helped Riley place second in the event.
Tennessee's jumpers had a solid day as the men and women combined for four top-10 placements. Joining Riley in the top-10 in the men's long jump was Yariel Soto who finished ninth with a distance of 7.09m (23-3.25).
Caroline Lewis finished sixth in the women's long jump at 5.86m (19-2.75).
Rasheeme Griffith rounded out UT's top-10 finishes Friday as he placed seventh in the men's 400m hurdles in 50.85 seconds.
