Bardwell Leads Lady Vols Through Opening Two Rounds of Gators Invitational

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Senior Mikayla Bardwell led the Tennessee women's golf team through the first two rounds of the Gators Invitational Saturday, carding five birdies en route to a +6, 146 two-round performance.
Bardwell is tied for 30th ahead of Sunday's third round, following rounds of 75 and 71 on the par-70 Mark Bostick Golf Course. She shot 1-over, 71 in round two with three birdies. Sophomore Kayla Holden posted rounds of 74 and 73 Saturday and stands tied for 38th place at +7, 147.
Sophomore Vanessa Gilly carded rounds of 76 and 73 and is tied for 45th place at 9-over, 149. Hadley Walts, a senior, is tied for 61st place at 12-over, 152 after 36 holes of action. Bailey Davis is +20, 160 ahead of Sunday's final round.
The Lady Vols stand in 13th place entering the final 18 holes. The tournament's third and final round will tee off with an 8:30 a.m. ET shotgun start Sunday in the Sunshine State.
