Hattie Finishes Second, Davenport Records Personal Best on Day 2 of Auburn Diving Invite

AUBURN, Ala. – A top-two finish and two personal records for Tennessee highlighted Sunday's slate of the Auburn Diving Invite.
Bryden Hattie led the way for the Vols on 3-meter, coming back from an early missed dive to finish second with a 408.55 score. Three of his final four dives went for 70-plus points. During prelims, he nailed a forward 2 1/2 somersault 2 twist pike for 83.30 points to notch the highest score (420.00) going into finals.
Coming off a good performance yesterday, Jacob Reasor recorded a career-best 375.20 score to place fifth in the event thanks to a pair of 70-point dives. Nick Stone (332.10) and Owen Redfearn (331.15) rounded things out by finishing ninth and 10th, respectively.
For the Lady Vols, Bailey Davenport enjoyed a career day on 1-meter, improving her previous personal best in the event by more than 20 points to take sixth overall with a 284.95 score. Following behind her were Grace Cable (seventh) and Tanesha Lucoe (eighth). The duo was solid during prelims, throwing down scores of 291.00 and 283.05, respectively.
Elle Renner rounded out the top-10 finishes for the Lady Vols, taking ninth behind a 272.30 mark. Madison Reese missed her person-best score on 1-meter by less than a point, as she finished 11th with 269.80. Emily Ann Wolfson (263.35) and Kara Holt (246.75) placed 12th and 15th on the day.
Monday's slate begins with the women's 3-meter (12 p.m. ET) followed by the men's platform will follow (4 p.m.). The women's platform will take place at noon on Tuesday to wrap up the invite.
