Bardwell Concludes Day Two At The NCAA Championship

SCOTTSDALE, Az. – Tennessee's Mikayla Bardwell concluded day two in the Arizona desert at the NCAA Championship on Saturday.
Bardwell posted a score of +6 (78) in round two, starting the day off strong with a birdie on hole 10, which was her first hole of the round.
"It was definitely nice to start the round off well with a birdie, and another birdie on hole seven," Bardwell said. "The course played really tough this afternoon with a lot of wind and it made it really tough to judge everything."
Going into Sunday's third round of stroke play, Bardwell is tied for 96th place.
Although at +4 as she made the turn, Bardwell battled windy conditions through the day's final nine holes and shot 2-over (38) in her back nine to finish at +6 (78) in the second round.
Overall, the junior from Lewisville, Texas, stands at +10 (154) through 36 holes.
Bardwell is set to tee off round three from hole 10 on Sunday at 3:25 p.m. ET with Hanna Alberto of Sam Houston State and Nataliya Guseva of Miami.
Entering round three, Stanford (-7) is atop the team leaderboard, with Duke (-3) and Texas (+1) rounding out the top three following the second round.
