Lewis Named SEC Golfer of the Week

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – One day removed from his first collegiate individual championship, redshirt sophomore Bryce Lewis has been named SEC Golfer of the Week.

The redshirt sophomore shot 6-under for the week at The Collegiate Invitational at the Country Club of Birmingham and came out on top of the 81-man field, which featured golfers from eight top-25 teams.

Lewis is the first Tennessee men's golfer to win SEC Golfer of the Week since teammate Hunter Wolcott did so two years ago in April 2019.

For the season, Lewis boasts a stroke average of 71.46 and a team-leading 14 rounds par or better. Lewis has two top-five finishes to his credit this season, as he finished tied for fourth place at the Blessings Collegiate Invitational during the fall.

Lewis and the Vols are back in action in just under two weeks, beginning postseason play with a trip to Sea Island, Georgia for the SEC Championship. Stroke play begins on April 21.
