Tennessee Vice Chancellor/Director of Athletics Danny White announced Monday that Alicia Longworth and Brady Hart are joining UT's athletics leadership team as Senior Associate Athletic Directors.
Longworth will oversee all aspects of external relations.
Hart will manage the Tennessee Fund and its strategic pursuit of transformational gifts for Tennessee Athletics.
Both are expected to begin work on Rocky Top next month.
Alicia Longworth – Senior Associate AD for External Operations
A native of Wise, Virginia, Longworth spent the past 11 years in various external roles within Florida's athletics department, most recently serving as associate AD and overseeing marketing, branding, social media, GatorVision, the SEC Network relationship and broadcasting.
"Alicia is a proven leader in the athletics marketing and fan engagement sector," White said. "She understands how to embrace tradition while infusing modernization, which will make her a wonderful fit here at Tennessee. With her strategic vision, coupled with the extremely talented people we have on our team, our potential is limitless."
For her final two years in Gainesville, Longworth oversaw in-venue fan experience for all Florida athletic programs, served as liaison for UF's IMG/Learfield partnership and also assisted with the management of all University Athletic Association sponsor relationships.
She worked particularly closely with the Gators' men's basketball program to develop marketing, social media and brand strategies. She also collaborated closely with Jordan Brand to launch Florida's Jumpman partnership for football and men's and women's basketball.
From 2014-19, Longworth oversaw UF's spirit program and was athletics' band liaison. She was responsible for the management of close to 30 separate budgets across her various units during that span.
Additionally, in 2013, she was a member of Florida's UAA strategic plan committee, which worked to redefine the association's strategic purpose, vision statement and core values.
Longworth graduated from Virginia Tech with a degree in Communications in 2007 and spent three years on the athletic marketing staff at her alma mater before transitioning to Florida as an assistant director of marketing and promotions in 2010.
Brady Hart – Senior Associate AD for Development
Hart comes to Knoxville after having spent nearly two years overseeing major gifts fundraising at the University of Pittsburgh. Prior to that, he spent two separate stints working alongside White at both Central Florida and Buffalo.
"Brady is a natural leader and gifted fundraiser," White said. "As a former student-athlete himself, he understands teamwork, has a real passion for supporting student-athletes and recognizes the importance of being resourced at an elite level. We're excited about the energy he will bring."
At UCF, Hart helped to build the Knights' premium seating program from the ground up and engaged multiple corporate partners through hospitality and entertainment initiatives to generate more than $1 million in annual premium revenue. In 2019, for the first time in school history, UCF sold out of football season tickets.
Before he transitioned to Central Florida, Hart was instrumental in generating significant revenue increases at Buffalo. From fiscal years 2014 through 2016, the Bulls experienced annual cash growth of 19 percent, 69 percent and 32 percent, respectively.
Hart also helped to modernize Buffalo's annual fund, introducing per-seat giving and expanded geographical outreach. He was promoted to lead Buffalo's major gift team in July of 2015 and guided UB's Shareholders Society through a successful $18 million campaign that resulted in the completion of a new indoor fieldhouse.
Hart served as a development assistant at Long Beach State in 2010 prior to attending Ohio University and serving as a graduate assistant in the Bobcat Club. after beginning his career in intercollegiate athletics with the fundraising arm for Ohio University's Bobcat Club. At Ohio, he concentrated on football premium-seat allocation and donor parking while also assisting senior development staff with annual fund solicitations and operations.
Hart is a native of State College, Pennsylvania, and a 2009 Yale graduate. He was a starting linebacker at Yale and was a member of the Bulldogs' 2006 Ivy League championship team. He went on to earn master's degrees from both Ohio (MBA/MSA) and Buffalo (Education).
