Kayla Holden Named SEC Freshman of the Week

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Tennessee women's golfer Kayla Holden has been recognized as the SEC Co-Freshman of the Week, the conference announced Wednesday.
Holden, from Coral Glades, Florida, garners the award after just her second collegiate tournament appearance. At the Gators Invitational this week, Holden finished in the top-10 individually, placing in a tie for sixth. Her three-day score of 2-over, 212, saw her hole eight birdies.
Her steady approach included a career-best round of 70 (E-par) on day two of the Gators Invitational. She was par or better on 16 of 18 holes in round two.
Of the 75-player field, Holden finished tied for sixth on Par 4s with an average score of even-par per hole.
The Lady Vols return to play at the Gamecock Intercollegiate in Columbia, South Carolina, from March 1-3.
