PREVIEW: Auburn Diving Invitational

AUBURN, Ala. – Tennessee diving is back in action December 15-18, as the Vols and Lady Vols compete in the Auburn Diving Invitational.

With some of the top divers in the nation set to compete, the field consists of Tennessee, Alabama, Auburn and LSU.

The women's 1-meter will begin the invite Wednesday at 1 p.m. ET, starting with prelims and followed immediately by the finals. On Thursday, the men's 1-meter will begin at noon, and then the women's 3-meter will conclude the day at 4 p.m. Friday is highlighted by the men's 3-meter (noon) and the women's platform (4 p.m.). The men's platform will take place at noon on Saturday to wrap up the invite.

In their last time out, the UT divers posted a strong showing at the Tennessee Invitational, as every Vol and Lady Vol that competed earned at least one NCAA Zone qualifying score. In total, Tennessee finished with 24 zone scores between prelims and finals.

Bryden Hattie continued his strong season, winning the 3-meter (398.25) and the platform (392.80). His mark on the platform ranks second nationally and leads the SEC. Grace Cable has put together a solid campaign, boasting six wins on the year and taking second in both springboard events last time out. Hattie and Cable have both been recognized with SEC weekly honors this season for their performances.
