Williams and Whiston Set for 120th US Women’s Amateur

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – Senior Micheala Williams and rising sophomore Nicole Whiston are set to compete at the 120th US Women's Amateur, which begins Monday, Aug. 3 in Rockville, Maryland from the Woodmont Country Club.
The championship runs Aug. 3-9 with two rounds of stroke play on Monday and Tuesday before moving into match play for the rest of the event.
This year's appearance at the US Women's Amateur is the second-straight for Whiston.
The first Women's Amateur was contested in 1895 and was one of the USGA's first championship events. Thirteen women played in the first competition, while the tournament field for the 120th edition has expanded to 132.

The Woodmont Country Club opened in 1950 and has undergone renovations in 2007 and 2019.
