Quealy, White Represent Vols On SEC Community Service Team

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. -- Tennessee seniors Trey Quealy and Layla White have each been named to the 2019 SEC Track & Field Community Service Team, as announced by the league office Wednesday afternoon.

A four-time member of the SEC Academic Honor Roll, Trey Quealy (North Huntingdon, Pa.) has dedicated more than 100 hours to community service during his time as a Tennessee Volunteer. Upon graduating this spring, Trey was presented with the SEC Brad Davis Community Service Award as well as a Service Medallion from the university for his commitment to the Knoxville community. He has experience volunteering with local elementary schools, the American Cancer Society, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Bridge Refugee Serivces and Concordia Northhaven Rehabilitation Center, among other various organizations.

A three-time SEC Academic Honor Roll member and three-time USTFCCCA All-Academic Individual, Layla White (Cary, N.C.) has dedicated 138 hours of community service during her time as a Tennessee Lady Vol - the highest cumulative total of any athlete in the program. Upon graduation this spring, she was presented with the university's prestigious Service Medallion for her efforts in the Knoxville community. White has experience volunteering with local schools, Goals for Girls, Love Kitchen, Wesley House, American Cancer Society, Pedal For Alzheimer's, VolsHELP and several other various organizations.

The conference names a Community Service Team for each of its 21 league-sponsored sports, looking to highlight an athlete from each school who gives back to his or her community through superior service efforts.
